For the inaugural release of Hypnodose Records, the artwork for Soul Lift EP by Max Jacobson was designed to be more than just a static visual—it was crafted as an optical experience, activated by the motion of the spinning vinyl.

The artwork was built around generated spiral patterns, exploring the hypnotic relationship between repetition, symmetry, and movement. After creating multiple variations, the most compelling patterns were selected and layered in concentric circles, forming an intricate, evolving illusion effect when the record is in motion.

By carefully compositing and aligning the spirals, the final design achieves a mesmerizing depth and movement that mirrors the immersive, groove-heavy nature of Jacobson’s music. The interplay of pattern and motion reinforces the tactile experience of vinyl, creating a visual counterpart to the rhythmic energy of the sound.
